My name is Alec. I started drumming when I was six years old and immediately fell in love with both the lessons and the instrument. Fast forward nearly 20 years, I am excited about offering this opportunity to other young people wanting to take on the challenge of learning the drums.
I dabbled my toes in teaching drums for the first time in late 2025 and really enjoyed connecting with my student and seeing them grow and develop in both confidence and skills.
This is not my first time teaching young people - my other day job is teaching swimming lessons to young people. I have been doing this for five years now and enjoy connecting with the young people and their parents.
Individual drum lessons
Lessons are held at my home in Essendon.
First lesson is free.
$30 for 30 min lesson

Alec has been an incredible drum teacher for my son. Since starting lessons in early October 2025, his improvement has been amazing to watch. Not only have his skills and rhythm developed so much, but his confidence has grown too.
He genuinely looks forward to every lesson and literally counts down the days until he goes back. He practises on his drum set at home without being asked, which says everything about how much he enjoys it.
